Small stories are what makes History

“Zanky’s Italian Restaurant…
…in memory of Francesco Antonio Selloni called Zankys by friends and family who loved and admired him.”

Francesco Antonio Selloni (October 1919 - March 2013)

Zankys (October 1919-March 2013) was born in Nuoro and was the grandfather of Fabio Dindi owner of Zanky’s Italian Restaurant. He was a shepherd and believed in traditions and family. He loved his land Sardinia, the speechless landscape and the rural nature of this amazing Island.

Fabio Dindi was born in Nuoro on 28 October 1983. He has always been passionate in food and different kinds of cuisine, but he has been always really attached to the Sardinian tradition as his Grandfather Zanky taught.

Supported by his partner Sara Cucca and his son Francesco in 2013 he decided to improve himself at the ALMA Academy of Gualtiero Marchesi, a very famous Italian chef who is considered to be the founder of modern Italian cuisine, with the propose to open his own business for sharing the traditional cuisine and the great tastes of his loved Island .

As Sardinian family we believe in and we are proud of our tradition. We are glad to offer fresh and home-made products from Sardinian and Italian tradition, everything surrounded by a familiar and warm atmosphere.

A special thanks to Giancarlo Salaris who helped us to make this dream come true!
